You do it!

Alexis Bond

Sometimes, we get really caught up with sitting and waiting. Now, I’m not saying that the Lord does not place us in seasons of waiting, but I also know that sometimes God wants us to get up and take a leap of faith. I think we can get caught up with this, “I’m not moving because I am waiting on the Lord to provide,” mindset. Hear me, THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH THIS MINDSET! Like I said, sometimes God just wants us to sit down somewhere and chill. However, I’m not talking about those instances at the current moment.

Think about Mark 6:35-37:

When the day was now far spent, His disciples came to Him and said, “This is a deserted place and already the hour is late. Send them away, that they may go into the surrounding country and villages and buy themselves bread; for they have nothing to eat.” But He (Jesus) answered and said to them, “You give them something to eat.”

Did you see that? Jesus’ disciples went to Him for something to eat, and His response was, “You give them something to eat.” You do it! You, get up and move! No, our works are not what saves us, but faith without works is dead. Don’t come for me. These aren't my words.  Take that leap of faith and move. No more going to God and saying, “Please help me get healthy,” but holding on to the same unhealthy eating habits. No more going to God and saying, “Please fix my finances,” but holding onto the same habits of reckless spending. No more going to God and saying, “Please help me to be a better student,” then holding on to the same habits of procrastination. Could God be saying, “YOU give them something to eat. YOU become intentional with your eating habits. YOU make the decision to be responsible with your funds. YOU create a work schedule.” You’ve completed the first step by asking God, and now He has given you the permission, and equipped you with necessary tools to carry it out. Get on it.

My brothers and sisters in Christ, take His hand, and DO IT!
