Trust God and have patience

During this season, God has increased my trust in Him tremendously. But this increase did not precede my obedience to Him. You see, obedience to God will  lead you to take leaps of faith. When He tells you to let certain things go, believe and trust that if these things were meant for you, nothing can keep them from you. What God has for you, no man can take away. If these things aren't for you, trust and believe that God is making room for what is you for you. Again, what God has for you, no man can take away. But we mustn't forsake our obedience, faith, and trust in the one true God.

I believe it’s so easy for us to obey, have faith, and trust in God when we FEEL good; when things seem to be going good. But what about when you encounter a storm? What about when you FEEL like God is taking a little bit too long to fulfill the desires that He has placed in your heart? Is He still faithful enough for you to continue to trust Him? If your faith, or trust, in God has decreased, consider these verses:

Hebrews 13:8 Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.

Malachi 3:6a “For I am the Lord, I do not change;”

Isaiah 40:8 “The grass withers, the flower fades, but the word of our God stands forever.”

Our God is not fickle. Our God does not waver. Our God does not change. You had enough faith and trust in HIm to take a leap of faith, now have enough trust IN Him to wait ON Him. Be patient, knowing that His promises to you are yes and amen.

You may be in the midst of a storm, but remain steadfast in the Lord. He is your Root. He is your Anchor. When that storm is over, you'll know exactly who He is, and what He is able to do. Without longsuffering, or patience, during the storm, we’ll begin fishing for ways out, when He has you right where He wants you for a very specific reason. Without longsuffering, or patience, during the storm, we’ll try to attain our desires our own way, without God. “God, I trust You, but not enough to let You do it on Your own. Let me help You out a bit.” I know yall hear how crazy that sounds.

Sit down. Relax. Be still, and know that He is God. Let Him work. He doesn't NEED your help. All He WANTS from you is for you to trust and believe Him. Whatever He is trying to show, teach, and build in you requires for you to fully trust Him during the storm. Fully trusting Him during the storm requires for you to have patience.

Patience isn't how long you wait, it's the way in which you act while you wait.

Be of good cheer. Your prayer is heard.

Believe it.
